InSwipe is operated by Ali Sokkar (AliSokkar.dev), based in Turkey. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use InSwipe ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our"). By using InSwipe, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Data We Collect
Data from Dribbble (via OAuth)
When you sign in to InSwipe using your Dribbble account, we receive and store the following information from Dribbble's API:
- Your Dribbble user ID, display name, and username
- Your email address
- Your profile image URL and bio
- Your follower count and profile links
- Your published shots (titles, descriptions, image URLs, tags, and dimensions)
We do not store copies of your shot images. We reference them via Dribbble's CDN URLs. All image content remains hosted on Dribbble's servers.
Data you provide directly
During onboarding and while using the platform, you may provide:
- Your role, experience level, and design discipline
- Your goals, feedback preferences, and style preferences
- How you discovered InSwipe and any referral code used
- Your communication preferences (email frequency, beta testing interest)
- Feature requests and additional notes
Data from your use of InSwipe
- Ratings and reviews you submit on other designers' shots
- Your vals (validation points) balance and transaction history
- Your design preference signals used for personalized recommendations
- Referral codes you generate or use
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Authenticate you via Dribbble and maintain your session
- Display your design portfolio and profile within InSwipe
- Show your shots to other users for rating and feedback
- Generate personalized design recommendations based on your rating patterns
- Operate the vals economy (earn and spend validation points)
- Process referral bonuses
- Improve the platform and understand how our users engage with it
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how users interact with the platform. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across websites. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymous.
Cookies & Sessions
InSwipe uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. This is a strictly functional cookie required for authentication — it contains a secure token (JWT) and is not used for tracking or advertising. We do not use any third-party tracking cookies.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Dribbble — OAuth authentication and design portfolio data (Dribbble Privacy Policy)
- Railway — Application and database hosting (Railway Privacy Policy)
- Umami — Privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics (Umami Privacy Policy)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Shot metadata from Dribbble is synced when you log in and stored in our database for the purpose of displaying and rating your work within InSwipe.
If you or Dribbble request the removal of your data, we will delete it within 24 hours, in compliance with Dribbble's API Terms.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to specific processing of your data

Children's Privacy
InSwipe is not intended for anyone under the age of 13, consistent with Dribbble's Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure session management, and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of InSwipe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
